2nd Ammendment and Alaskans

We require and cherish our guns here in the rugged environment of Alaska; had the 2nd Amendment not been upheld by the US Supreme Court ~ there would have been hell to pay. It would be easier to sweep up all of the snow in Alaska than to seize our weapons.
I understand that it concerns some who believe the government should be the sole possessor of armament; not so fast say most Alaskans.
Allay your fears and ponder this scenereo:
(1) The number of physicians in the U.S. is about 700,000.
(2) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are about 120,000.
(3) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.
Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.
Now consider this:
(4) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is about 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million..)
(5) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is about 1,500.
(6) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.
Statistics courtesy of FBI
So, statistically, doctors are approximately 900 times more dangerous than gun owners. Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."
Fact: Not everyone has a gun in Alaska and elsewhere, but almost everyone has a doctor. Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must either ban doctors or arm patients before this gets completely out of hand.
Out of concern for the public at large, the statistics concerning lawyers was withheld for fear the shock would cause wide spread panic and a large portion of the unarmed populace would seek medical attention. Source: unknown, but thanks.
Well, wasn't that fun? Bullets anyone, you may need to bite one if they attempt to disarm us ~ that action could result in the USA becoming a country of only 49 states. We'd better hope that future Supreme Court Judges protect the constitution rather that amend it by writ.
Armed Alaskans are delightfully happy and secure Alaskans.
