Just @#$%! ...ing Great

Category: The Wood Shed

Where's that cross dressing eco minded party animal Al Gored person, I want to show him the affects of global warming here in Juneau.

What a self serving lying bitch weasel!

I am shoveling snow in mid April! It's more like the Younger-Dryas affect than global warming; a new mini ice age - just @#$%!...ing Great!.

We had an avalanche yesterday that took out major power transmission towers, which the utility company says will take three months to repairs, after they can get to the area where it occurred. Which is unstable as hell right now. The upside, they're going to go on generated power, provided that they can find enough fuel to keep them running and will only increase our utility bills by up to 500% for becoming our source of salvation.

The lying money grubbing...

Dirty rotten butt sniffing usury snakes..

Opportunistic ambulance chasing chain yanking...

Bastards!

Not, that I am not envious of their absolute power over Juneau residents; of course.

Got a problem there today, Raven? A somewhat biased report, do you think?

I can see you are well equipped with your freedom of expression, remarkable self restraint, keep shovelling, bring in the Brown Bears.

I'm just going to snuggle in for the day. Life sure is tough ( for others )

You need to learn how to believe in two things at once. Lilla says it means Im really intelligent or something.

Global warming is happening - theres evidence, like Crikey! those icebergs that keep breaking off and sailing away. Parts of the earth are getting hotter.

(I once met someone who believed that the hole in the ozone layer 'travelled' around with the earth's atmosphere. Dont you know it went over tasmania one time and all these school kids got 3rd degree burns? Because of course, holes in air are completely stable in their circumfrence. If this guy is to be believed, we've got global warming all figured out)

BUT, what no one is recording is that the earth is correcting our great mistake. El nino and all his imaginary friends are fancy excuses for changing weather patterns. The cold Im experiencing now is months early. But we have to keep heating theearth now, cos if we stop, and she keeps going, well.....

Hey, I just figured out how the ice age was triggered!

The bears took off running down the street, katyzzz after I booted a couple of them thinking they were dogs. It's like this, $1,450 rent plus 5 x $250 =$1,250 for electricity and that's a chunk of change to come up with every month: $2,700 and then fuel oil, garbage and water, phone, auto fuel and cable service---Arrrgh!!! We're gonna be living off of the land if we choose to eat for the next few months.

HOLY BATCHITT ROBIN!!!

Are you kidding us???? $1,250- per month for heating alone???

By the way, consider a class action against the power company, suing for the extra heating costs, because of the avalanche, afterall, it is their responsibility to guarantee supply, and in your neck of the woods, that means acting to PREVENT avalanches, well I would have thought so.

Ask a lawyer friend, if you know any....ok so I use the term 'friend' loosely!

And by the way, I am also starting to suspect a rat regarding the whole global warming scenario, but not in the way others do.

Having studied matters relating to the polar reversal, where the North swaps position with the South Pole, (which they have detected as happening since the seventies or earlier) I believe we are being sold a crock of battchitt, for the experts officially say, it is long, slow and gentle.

Well, that may be so in their local brothals, but, Hapgood, (look him up, it is freely available), wrote a theory in the 1950's regarding this process, and it isn't pretty mind you, but, it would go some way to explain the current freezing business, maybe, affecting currents and weather patterns, and migration problems with animals, like whales beaching possibly?

The man who assisted Hapgood, and wrote the forward supporting the theory, was Albert Einstein!!!

Also, the 'conveyor belt', warm ocean current, has stopped before, rendering the northern hemisphere into a mini-ice age, last time, some thousands of years ago, it took two to ten years to come on, and a thousand to revert.

So, just as you were relaxing with a steaming cup of chocolate dissatisfaction, I come along with more bad news!

At least it is quick...the pole shift...I'll wave 'HI' as I pass you at the pole!!!

cheers

Hiya fog you bundle of joyous news; I probably know most of the major lawyers in town after squabbling with them on different occasions. A great many of them represent the AEL&P former co-op gone rogue .

When I get through the bulk of my ranting period, I'll get to thinking again about possible solutions.

I wondered who proffered that theory, does he and that Einstein fella have any credibility?

See ya on the pole swing shift: I'll wave.

Thanks Toni, I needed that.

I was visiting my kids in Calif. last January when a monster storm hit. The power went out and PG&E (the power company) promised to have it fixed as soon as possible. The kids are on a well and the pump is electric. So we didn't even have water (except for the rain water we were able to catch in buckets and what a neighbor with a generator brought to them.) 6 people, 6 days, no light or running water. PG&E's excuse was that they couldn't get to the equipment that had been damaged because the weather was too bad. Sounds like they do that on purpose, doesn't it? Put their "equipment" where they can't get to it in bad weather and then they don't have to worry about repairing it until the storm passes and they don't have to get wet! Of course, for their "efforts" to restore power to almost a million people, they had to up the rates. Utility companies really stink! Makes me want to go to windmills and solar, just so I don't have to pay the dirty buggers anything!

On the glo-bull warming subject, the Meteorological Society says the warming trend stopped in '98 and it's now getting cooler. Less than a degree, of course. Remember the Irish potato famine of a couple of centuries ago? It was caused by La Nina and the colder gulf stream. People didn't cause that, either.

I feel your pain Raven. Good luck! If spring ever arrives in Alaska, you might want to find a "money tree" and get it planted, fast!

Well, the utility companies certainly have pulled shenanigans here in Alaska, and I think this is going to start a major fuss.

What a crappy fix they left your family in, I do have a diesel generator and I'm not afraid to use it.

I lost my packet of money tree seeds SL, maybe my lotto luck bush will bloom for a change.

Raven,

just grab a surf board...ok so not even I can stand on oen of those, so a boogie board, and we can race each other round the globe!

hey, maybe we could make an Orble thing of it?

yes, Hapgood's theory is depressing alright...but..we live on in the next dimension...and its gotta be better than this one..SURELY????

cheers

oh..and there is a possibility of averting this really bad scenario..but still researching that one, looks grim, odds are low, but there maybe be a chance...then again, maybe they are all wrong?

If the utility companies or politicians are managing things, I'll count on the disaster scenario fog, that way, there won't be any surprises or disappointments.

To rather state the consensus opinion, I do not like politicians, neither do I like public utilities, all overpaid dishonest B's if you ask me, but then again people usually don't. Sorry I'm so late, 'is why' wouldn't function.

Hiya Krystal, sounds like you have the same admiration that I have for people that vote themselves pay raises while denying the public improved services.

You may be as fashionably late as circumstances and life in general directs you to be; it's all good.
